*04AA: S'pht-Human streaming translation active* Once again we need your assistance. Both our species are under a terrible threat. There is no time to lose, so we have transported you directly from stasis to your present location - your home world, though many centuries before your time. Your language is now familiar to us, and we have perfected a method of communicating with you whilst you are on the planet surface - although this link is somewhat tenuous and we cannot be sure of its continuation.

It has been brought to our attention that on our previous journey, we missed a fragment of the scientific treatise you were sent to recover. The Pfhor are now in possession of this manuscript and its location is unknown to us. One of our kind informed us of its existence, but the Pfhor captured this individual and we are having difficulty communicating. We do not understand why - something is not as it seems. We have traced him to a brick outbuilding near this location. You must free him so he can communicate the location of the missing manuscript. It is imperative that the Pfhor do not glean the knowledge contained within that tome. You must hurry.

...S'bhuth's narrations fill me with much trepidation. I feel I must commit them to paper, lest my memory fail, but I do not want uninitiated eyes to fall upon them. The visitor has knowledge of science and history; and even the future, that I find incredible. His words, I am sure, contain much power. I have been attempting to devise a system of pictograms to encrypt my writings. The method has certain limitations - inasmuch as it is hard to convey coherent phrases purely in pictorial form. It is said a picture speaks a thousand words, but S'bhuth's words are far beyond anything I can depict. I can merely create approximations and hope that they will become clear with study, and time. If my confrere speaks the truth, as I feel sure he must, there is much time, and many battles ahead...

...And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever. But for thou, O Daniel, shut up the words and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run too and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.
