_____________________________________________________________________ Anderson here. I hope what we sent you was enough to secure this area. The majority of the men are already spent trying to take the rest of the decks, but I figure with you, this deck in particular should be fine with limited numbers. However, you do have missions besides "perforate aliens." The J'kima uses a number of safety locks to prevent the ship from taking off if anything is wrong. The Pfhor don't have any plans to leave, but we do, so I need you to fix the systems so that the safety system allows us to boot up the engines. The order doesn't matter, but here's what you need to do before we can get out of here: 1. That anchor you deactivated a little while ago? It actually has two ends that both need to be deactivated. One was on the surface; the other is here on the ship. Retract the anchor device, or else we can't go anywhere. _____________________________________________________________________

_____________________________________________________________________ 2. The bilge pumping system, for some odd reason, was deactivated. The end result is that some areas have that caustic, corrosive goo when they're not supposed to, including ventilation systems. If the goo were to spill into the engines while they were running, the entire ship would explode, which is obviously no good. Thus, you will need to reactivate the bilge pumping system and drain these areas. That pumping system is in the southeast corner of the ship. 3. Hangar doors in the southwest area are still open. There is no atmosphere proofing system there, so if we were to enter space with the doors open, the ship's atmosphere would be destroyed. Phhht! Just like that. And, for that matter, so would half of our crew. The rest would asphyxiate - in other words, you'll need to close the hangar doors. There are three open doors. Close them all. Return here when your objectives are complete. Although I have had a tough time requisitioning supplies, I did manage to get a shotgun out of the storage locker while the tech wasn't looking. It's on the other side of this terminal. _____________________________________________________________________

_____________________________________________________________________ Ooh, PS: There's tons of Pfhor roaming the ship. I don't need you in particular to clear out the decks, I'll let the crew take care of that later, but I wouldn't recommend wandering around. I don't have that much ammunition to spare, you know. Anderson out. _____________________________________________________________________ END TRANSMISSION

_____________________________________________________________________ This is Carver again. That asshole Terrance put me in the attack team. I took a stick to the head, but other than that I'm in one piece. Can't say the same for the rest of my squadron. I'm teleporting you out. _____________________________________________________________________ END TRANSMISSION

Private communication established... _________________________________________ Alright, I let Anderson in on what I found earlier. He then did some further scans. There are many life-forms detected in a region about six hundred kilometers south of your original landing zone. We can't determine what those life-forms are, though, because we're picking up a lot of resistance. There appears to be some AI system going around there. We'll drop you in as close as we can. We can't spare any crew, though - the admiral would notice. He doesn't seem too worried about you, though. I wonder why. _________________________________________ Private communication terminated. _____________________________________________________________________ Anderson again. This is the hangar area. Carver divided his team into two and gave one half to me, so I'm sending them here to help you secure the hangars. I would suspect Juggernauts. Stick with your fusion pistol, I imagine you can find lots of ammo from the fallen crew. It's going slower than we thought it would. Decks D, G and H were finished not that long ago without many casualties, which is a relief. A was finished but with heavy losses - only one single unit finished the mission unharmed. Terrance is thinking of court-martialing him for cowardice. Cowardice! The admiral seems a bit unsteady right now so I'm going to stay out of his way. There was a bad teleport for deck B - half of the assault team was teleported into a furnace, and the other half was slaughtered quickly because of it. Decks C and F aren't going too well, either - Carver's team is on deck F, but he's pinned down. I'm sending reinforcements to his location. You should get moving, though, before the Pfhor catch you. Anderson out. _____________________________________________________________________ END TRANSMISSION
