Captain Mkomba here. I'll be staying near the ship unless you guys really need the help. This is your show from here. The men are ready. They are in a defensive perimeter around the ship. As soon as you say go, they'll go. I received some additional info in-flight about this base. A number of the buildings here have been sealed off semi-permanently. UPNC Command thinks it's safe to assume that if the doorseals are unbroken, the building is clean. You'll need to ensure that the rest of the base is cleared.

EMERGENCY TRANSMISSION UPNC Command here. We need to reassign you immediately. All remaining members of your ground team will remain there to finish securing the base. I have instructed the ship to forward these instructions to Captain Mkomba on his personal link. You should take off immediately. Aliens have taken the Macapá Beanstalk. We received a one-time transmission from the beanstalk approximately 20 minutes ago telling us that if we try to retake the beanstalk, the cable will be severed 23,000 km up. Without the balancing centripetal pull of the node and the rest of the cable, the severed section will fall. It would wrap itself around the equator, impacting with the force of more nuclear weapons than ever existed on this planet. The effect would be immensely worse than the theorized "Dinosaur Killer". The Earth would rapidly become unfit for life. I guess the protesters during the 2116 Beanstalk Riots were right to be scared when the first one was built! It is imperative that we get a single agent onto that Beanstalk. A team could never reach the 'stalk without detection. You're the ideal agent. This mission is going to require a little more avoidance of conflict than you're used to. The primary objective is to get yourself to the node. Don't engage in more combat than is necessary. Once there, we're not sure what can be done, but hopefully we'll figure it out when you get us more information. We have uploaded a flight path into this ship that will fly past the Beanstalk grounds -- but it will not land. You will need to jump. Parachutes will NOT be possible, as we want your arrival to be completely unnoticed, and any observers will likely be watching for parachutes. If you remain in low-power mode for most of the fall, you should slip through. Good luck, Captain! Please try to contact us again once you've reached the node.
