The insertion process is fairly easy. Near the command uplink is a switch that grants access to a nearby control center. The controls there will disengage the shielding of the command uplink, allowing you to insert the card I've made. Then, you must return to the control center and confirm the launch program upload. The ship hasn't been staffed or stocked yet, so you should face minimal resistance. When you're finished, report to a terminal near the fore end of this sector, and I'll teleport you back to the starport. Once the ship is in my grasp, we can make our move against Hathor.
