>>> Logon Complete <<< >>> Receiving Information <<< This is Pvt. Miller, again, yeah they stuck me in stasis too. This is the MCSRF (Marauder Class Soldier Resort Facility). This is a resort built especially for the special war machines like yourself. Any Marine trained by the UESC is given vacation time here, but something bad happened. The Pfhor have taken control of the place. I don't know why. I think they may be trying to steal some of the technology we keep within the databases. We also have the last copy of the fully rampant Tycho AI in our deep dark data storage banks. But these Pfhor came on an unknown type of ship. And they are slower than ever. Like their will has been broken.

Your mission here is to flood the area with lava. Needless to say, this is not going to be easy. To do this, you must reach the central power core to shut off all the pump safeties. This will cause the pumps to back up and fill the semi-active volcano that the resort is built upon to fill with Lava and erupt, annihilating it, the resort, and all information contained within.

Unfortunately, the Pfhor have had the unusual clarity to repair and activate some of the defense systems after the initial attack. Therefore, You could not be teleported directly into the power station as we'd hoped. Instead, you are aboard this small shuttle, which has just docked with the Resort facility. You must reach a maintenance station, from which you can be transported into the Power Core. Also: A word of warning about the defenses- The drones which the Pfhor may or may not have control of are bad copies of the originals you found on Lh'own- Their power cores are a little unstable.

From the information we could gather before the security cameras were knocked out, we know that this area is mainly being held by Fighters and Enforcers. However, we have reason to believe that the Pfhor are using this invasion to test a new type of Fighter, a new type of Enforcer, and a new type of Juggernaut. We have no information regarding the numbers or combat capabilities of either. Good luck; When you reach the maintenance terminal, it will automatically send you to the Power Core, where I will contact you if I can.

** Topic: Geothermal Power and the UESC ** Author: H. Clower In the late 20th century and the early 21st, it was widely believed that Nuclear Power was the answer to man's power needs. However, during the chaos and turmoil of the 22nd century, it was discovered that a focused ion beam directed at a plant could easily make it go into meltdown, killing nearby people and leaving the survivors without power. As the UESC expanded into space, it was discovered that many planets had a Mars-like makeup, with high amounts of seismic and volcanic activity. Thus, geothermal power became a good alternative. This trend was furthered by the invention of the Pulse Drill, which made excavating the required spaces for these plants cheap, easy, and efficient. As they are easy to build with the proper materials, geothermal plants now account for generating almost 80% of the power used on UESC-controlled planets, and are used widely by the Pfhor as well. ** End of entry ** End of log
