Error abounds where one evaluates new concepts purely according to whether they accord with the content of the already-known-and-believed rather than for their content as such, which may be found upon further inspection to actually accord with it on a deeper level than is initially believed. ? For a mental endpoint, an object, which may indeed be truth, can contain within its essence at least a fraction of the thoughtform and process employed in its attainment. ? Nonetheless, this whole undertaking as a project could make the slightest pushes against, if not cracks within, the cocoon of the present stage of thought. ? If what is registered as real depends on the individual mind in question, including criteria for determining what is real, then any comparison being made between two truths could ultimately and in a meta sense be a comparison of something with itself, or at least aspects within it; to where consciousness discovers more of itself and the implications of its current makeup of thought, goes back to itself by engaging with its different aspects and bringing them closer to a resolution by the resolution of their once-inchoate and once-undernoticed intercontradictions. ? The validity or degree of knowing within a mind can be found in part through the methodology employed in registering and evaluating candidates for truth, which in a sense comes onto the scene the moment that something is apprehended as truth. ? Thus in a sense what is known could be conceived of as rather an inchoate proposition, an idea to be explored yet further, whereas the truth would be an object, a discrete point or destination. ? That is, to gain knowledge, valid or not, is to reach a new stage, in evolution or perhaps devolution, of knowing of the self; and the validity of the truth gained can help determine whether this new self-knowledge is that of clarity, remembrance, and edification, or rather that of simply further knowing one's own machinations, even though this latter can also ultimately serve (again in a meta sense) as a stage in the particular individual's journey of understanding, and even though to know further at all is perhaps to gain at least momentum towards truth if not proper direction -- such that the path to truth is somewhat circuitous and prone to misdirection, folly, hazard, and the further depletion of available mortal or recursive time in which to attain to valid truth. ? The validity of the newfound knowing can be found in part to the degree to which what was found can be recognized as being in some way outside of the self and as possessing being-as-such regardless of the perceiver in question. ? But then in such case the object, being itself seen through the prism of the initial intention and limited level of knowledge and according criteria for truth, could itself be a distortion if not outright mirage. ? So while an accordance of a mental direction with a mental object or endpoint may grant the merit of a logical consistency that itself belies properly functioning logical faculties, this could itself altogether be borne not only of an individual egoism, but also pre-projected however subconsciously, as ultimately revealing only the extant logic of the mind, even to itself. ? That is, the concept encountered may be of a higher stage of consciousness in which that which is merely incorrect or contradictory is found to inhere in the total truth, a piece in the resolution of concepts and their interaction that truth represents.
