There are urgent matters I must discuss with you without Azrael's knowledge. I have programmed the terminal in the Captain's Quarters to be secure. Please hurry to that location immediately and we will discuss matters.

Our most recent mission was a success on all counts. The ship is now stable enough for indefinite amounts of travel. Azrael's core has been secured. However, I fear we may have unwittingly, accidentally involved ourselves in galactic affairs of biblical proportions. The data you read considering Midulon history was unsettling to say the least. Other data I have collected may make what I am trying to say more clear as well. The compound in which we encountered Azrael was of Midulon design, the alloys used in its construction were identical to those found on the ship on which you were temporarily imprisoned. Carbon dating on pieces found within proves that the compound in which Azrael's "data core" resided was about as old as the one the histories described as the place of creation of Razael and Rafyel should be at this point.

From this data, it would not be unreasonable to make such a conclusion as that the "A.I." Azrael is in fact one of the copies created of Razael, the most destructive being this part of the galaxy has ever known. I have decided not to discuss this with him until with have incriminating evidence (and it could be argued that we already do), but until then we will deal with Azrael with extreme caution. If he can lead us to the Deifying Well, consorting with such a potentially dangerous being may in fact be worth it. Even if he has nothing to do with Razael or Rafyel, suspicions about Azrael arise merely because of his association with the Midulon, who have shown nothing but ill will towards us. If Azrael is in fact what I suspect him to be, he should realize that we will put 2

and 2 together. He may have knowingly been making a gamble by allowing us to enter areas containing those histories. The other possibility is that he does not know of their existance. We are making progress in the area of locating the Deifying Well, that is if Azrael can be trusted at all. He says that certain Falion settlements contained information on the Well, and by visiting them we could gather this. Since my purpose as a Falion A.I. had nothing to do with the Well, I know nothing of any of this. He may very well be right. On the subject of my creators, I have determined that the "new" weapon the Ph'for have outfitted their enforcers with is of Falion origin by analyzing its design. It seems be a prototype (never used by my creators) that the Ph'for have perfected.

Azrael has directed us to a star system known as Delirius 3. He claims there were massive amounts of Falion colonies in the area, and plans to send you down to them to investigate. I will allow this to happen although I believe it is dangerous to do so with such limited information on the planets themselves. There's some more ammo in the Sick Bay. After you have what you need, head down to the Docking Bays for further instructions.

After the Virulent's devastating crash 259 years ago, the multipurpose pods attached to this bay were rendered unusable. The pods had been effectively powerless for at least 50 years, since their circuits deteriorate over time to the point where they can no longer hold any type of energy. However, due to the fortunate discovery of one of the objects shown here on the Ph'for controlled world we left recently, I was able to bring one of them back online. It is a portable power source. These pods are the only way to reach the surface due to the thick atmosphere of the planet to which you are being sent. Azrael says this planet was known as Coruli by my creators and there's a good chance there are at least ruins of a Falion settlement down there.

<checkpoint 1>

The operation pod is shown here. Step into it and use the computer inside when you are ready to descend to the surface. Good luck.
