Beta Aurigæ VI Origin: Durandal 1707 Destination: Conditioned Unit 7 Ref: J’raxis Operative 271 All right... now that you’ve made a mess of things, it’s your responsibility to clean it up. This complex you are standing in now is an ancient building of the long-dead race that at one time lived on the planet below. This is a moon of ß Aur VI, the 3º planet orbiting the second star in the system. The planet was destroyed by meteor impacts; meteors which came from a collision of two planets in this system æons ago.

Beta Aurigæ VI Origin: Durandal 1707 Destination: Conditioned Unit 7 Ref: J’raxis Operative 271 I’ve been able to use their ancient computers as terminals. The beamout terminal is nearby but you need a special weapon to get to it, which you’ll get once you complete the mission. There is also a pattern buffer somewhere. The J’raxis Operative is down here. While J’raxis was fleeing, he beamed the Opertive here to finish the job for him. Kill him. He may look like he’s just carrying a pistol, but it’s been “converted” by J’raxis.

Beta Aurigæ VI Origin: Durandal 1707 Destination: Conditioned Unit 7 Ref: J’raxis Operative 271 J’raxis did not only beam down the operative, he beamed down some of his own Pfhor, some of those bomb-carrying humans he planted in my complex and some other nasties (I think he even has some of his own enslaved S’pht’Krs). When 271 dies, he’ll drop a circuit card that J’raxis used to convert his ordnance. You can use it in your KKV SMG.

Beta Aurigæ VI Origin: Durandal 1707 Destination: Conditioned Unit 7 Ref: J’raxis Operative 271 Therefore, firing the KKV’s second trigger will toggle the switch that opens the door to allow you to leave. Make sure the Operative doesn’t die in the lava, get blown up or get burned to death; or you won’t get the card. And, the KKV can only fire 2 of these special shots so don’t mess up!

Beta Aurigæ VI Origin: Durandal 1707 Destination: Conditioned Unit 7 Ref: J’raxis Operative 271 Be careful of the lava rivulets along the corridor edges —— they’re too deep for the Operative to step out of. And, since this is a moon, the gravity is quite low, so be careful when running or you’ll be bouncing off of everything. Finally, those two metal plates on the wall are not just decoration. The left one lets you out of this room, and the right one is a recharger. You’ll need both.
