NEFX - "Public Presentation Branches and the Blaming of Bugbears" The appearance of separate and impartial official branches meeting under specific auspices for impartial presentation of information or ideas to mass beings can be a useful cultural trope for the Blightgeist through generations to leverage measures without much public resistance, as the lines of separation between the two branches erode and thus expression of one branch through the other gains the visage of objective impartiality and truth. The existence of seemingly opposed branches within the Blightgeist, that of Erosion and Saturation, does not change the fact that such branches of public presentation concerning rulership and other aspects of reality (namely societal reality) are a voice of the Blightgeist themselves. In fact, a branch of public presentation, be it historically rooted in more principled and common intent, gains its visage in public life here precisely by benign (however superficially and pre-planned) opposition to, and questioning of, the Blightgeist itself. Its technical immediate provisional necessity as the main source of general information, due to the monopolizing of resources and inter-generational specialist knowledge of those involved in its operation, further socially permit its abuses of information; and in the meantime, actions done differently by a branch of the Blightgeist (whether Saturation or merely a sub-branch of Erosion posited as the opposition to the branch that is actually Erosion) gain visage precisely by not being that which a previously predominating branch or icon thereof did. This only elides the ways in which not only may the current action in question be technically worse (at least according to universal law), but may also actually only be technically worse at least in the immediate because the compared action by a previously predominant branch of the Blightgeist (or icon thereof) was for a long-term scheme of power seizure that was overall more destructive. The ensuing misrepresentation (however unintentional and part of the backfire of a plan) of Lightform by this actual folly gains new support for the more brazen branch of Erosion among the less innerly settled or bright of beings. To this end, both parties involved in a particular publicly presented interaction may coordinate and feign a certain level of inter-tension that is resolved and gives way to peace, resolution, affability, etc. Ironically, this itself helps pave the way for further encouragement of the Blightgeistian enterprise that then gains legitimacy precisely because of the branch of public presentation whose retrospective reputation is still as of its roots it has long strayed from, in effect allowing much of the general multitude to hand the weapon to its own secret assailant. This extends also to the culturally-set gauging of such values as strong and weak, smart and stupid, right and wrong, etc. It is within this established informational framework of the Blightgeist that prominent societal issues, particularly those that pertain to global alert, can be the more leveraged and made socially valid in order to blame its preponderance on a bugbear under focus and attribute its solution to the eradication of such bugbear. The general social invalidity of many instances of global alert lies largely in the absence of an ever-looming Other, which then becomes more prominent in Blightgeistian narratives concerning the alert as the issue is more widely and commonly internalized (whether as regards its validity or supposed invalidity). Yet more broadly, the very introduction of an issue of global alert in the Blightgeistian framework is in a long-term (if ultimately hubristic and foolish) scheme of conditioning multitudes of beings to what the Blightgeist conceives of as the real issue, which is the bugbear at hand QUA being, beyond even its supposed fault for the conditioning of global alert (even if not especially in global alert’s supposed invalidity and yet persistence as a social issue). Often this long-term process of conditioning, in shifting general focus and valuation for beings from that of the condition of global alert to the bugbear, is in insisting upon the latter’s needing to heed certain other branches of the Blightgeist in its own conduct. But one who sees through this already is more tapped into universal law.
