40: Artemis Anomaly

There's a confluence of A'khr forces ahead, according to our scans. They must be piling up together to defend something. I'm hoping that you're going to find something worth defending! Watch your footing, by the way; the other thing we've noticed, scanning ahead, is that the ambient temperature is quite a bit higher here. I don't know why on Earth or any other planet there would be all this lava just sitting around, but here it is, and you'll have to just not fall into it. Be careful and watch your back.

Great work! Sitting right there is what appears to be some kind of data card. It's Phoenix.

You may or may not remember this, but one of Phoenix's selling points is that he was nearly indestructible. So long as some fragment of his personality still exists, it can latch itself onto any sort of computer network and he can begin to reconstruct himself. That data card is a very complex, multilayered sheet of chips and wires, which holds a very tiny aspect of Phoenix data. We want it. But it's not complete. It's sitting in a teleporter, so I suppose you can just continue on from there and keep looking for more. Maybe we'll find out why the A'khr are defending this stuff too.

And that's it. Thank you, again, for sticking with Phoenix through this bonus content. I just don't have the desire to work on this stuff anymore, but these levels were too good to just throw away, so I figured I'd leave them here for your enjoyment. Walking through the teleport will end the game, for real this time. - RyokoTK
