16: Jägermeister's Nightmare

//ID SCANNER: McConville, Ian// This area is just behind the front lines. The whole place has been bombed to hell... Which means it's now a nuclear wasteland and is impossible to survive in unless you're cybernetic, like you, or just innately wrong, like those organic bitches. The two buildings to the left had armaments in them that will probably be of use to you later, so that'll be your first stop.

//ID SCANNER: McConville, Ian// To get to your next target you'll need to grab some mine packs from the rubble of those store houses, unless you already have some. You need to plant them on a weak spot in the cliff walls that collapsed in an airstrike, thus preventing a clear route to your second objective. It's directly east of your current location and is pretty easy to spot. Before the battle heated up an hour ago, the troops painted red "X"s on potential bomb drops. Just take an unopened mine pack and plop it directly on the designated spots. This means refrain from using your mines elsewhere at all costs... if you waste them we're screwed. If you load them into your Conch the mines will not explode properly and won't destroy the wall. Keep that in mind...

//ID SCANNER: McConville, Ian// The two other factions are still cluster-banging us and are showing no signs of letting up... They've also used our own security systems against us.

//ID SCANNER: McConville, Ian// The towers shown here are a set of rift beacons. They control who's allowed to go in and out rift-wise. We were using it to keep the metals from warping in on us... Until now... The metals sent in a squad of gattlers and rewired the set to only allow in their men... This signal changes every 5 minutes. We were able to get you and your men in and out by equipping you with a jammer of your own. When you find others, your signal spreads to them - enabling them to get out as well. We need you to get to that tower and hit the center switch on it. That will restart it to our liking. That's your second objective.

//ID SCANNER: McConville, Ian// The next problem is the force shield the ground forces have been using to keep out the unwanted. Rewiring the tower will shut down this force shield, thus letting in the slaughter fest... This means you must get over there quick to help - and to get those men out.

//ID SCANNER: McConville, Ian// Your most important task is to help those same troops. They control the gates to the ship we need to seize. They've been down in those trenches for a few weeks now and should be rescued. Those heat signatures there are them. Get them out and hit the control panel to open the doors to the ship. From reports, I believe they have a pattern buffer and an armour repolymizer in that hold... That's just something to motivate you...

//ID SCANNER: McConville, Ian// Finally, the downed Pfhor ship... It's buried in the tunnels just south of the rift towers shown here. This doesn't mean you can get there from the towers... not unless you can fly. To get there, head back to this terminal for more info after you take care of your business back at the hold.
