We have been orbiting the Earth for several hours after your last mission; it is now day, and our visual sensors have revealed a disturbing development. Several of the slavers have descended upon a small watergoing vessel in the sea east of the Italian peninsula. We would simply incinerate the ship from orbit, but we need to know what the Pfhor are pursuing.

When you reach the vessel, try to find any writings, books, or manuscripts that the Pfhor might have captured, or may still be searching for. We cannot permit them to take these things; all knowledge is precious. After you have searched it, we suggest that you cause the vessel to flood and descend to the bottom of the ocean.

Look for controls like this; we have studied infrared and radar images of the vessel and concluded that activating these switches should cause the vessel to sink.

We have stimulated certain hormonal mechanisms in your bio-mecha; this will prevent you from feeling discomfort at the rolling motion of the sea-vessel, which is subtly different from either your world's normal gravity or the microgravity you experience in space. We will provide a teleportation mechanism for you in the same way as earlier trips. To conserve time, we will be sending you directly to the location of the next manuscript.
