[ S'pht translator active ] Message from Karuma commences: All standing forces in warehouse unit 55 are immediately reassigned to active defense. Current defensive situation is dire. Human attack task force cannot be allowed, under any circumstances, access to any form of databanks, exposed or not. According to informational protocol ZZ64221-C, you are expressly forbidden to completely bar access to any sort of informational storage -- however, manned security posts and active checks can ensure that no access is made to the databanks without clearance from the highest standings. Thank you! Your obedience helps maintain our security!
Time: 01:42, September 19 Location: Warehouse Unit 55 Glad you could make it. This is the warehouse unit, such as it is, for this district. It holds boxes full of stuff, as most warehouses do, but it also holds a wealth of information on quite a lot of stuff. Whatever this stuff is, we want it, so you should get on it promptly. Speaking of, did you find that one virus upload card? It was sent in with your initial re-armarment, so if you missed it, you might want to grab it. I have no idea where you'll be able to upload the card, but it's an easy process: push it in, and it goes.
The warehouse unit stores information like it stores actual objects, as I said, so with that virus card that you had better make sure you have, you should look around for some kind of computer mainframe and insert the card as if it were a regular infotab. When that's complete, look for a teleport-capable terminal and we'll head on to our next location. You may have noticed that there's a fair amount of resistance; if you haven't noticed, you will soon. The renegades are very protective of what's theirs, so you will undoubtedly have to fight your way through a legion to get to where some suitable access point is. Oh, yeah, and we have a new weapon for you. For more on that, let's turn to our senior scientist, Dr. Johann.
We've been told to send down the weapon we've been working on to you. It's still a prototype, but you should be able to put it to good use. It's a shoulder-mounted EMP Cannon; it weighs more or less as much as your rocket launcher does, but it fires long-range grenades that deliver an electromagnetic pulse upon explosion. The pulse is powerful and has a fairly large area of effect, so it should deal severe damage to any mechanical targets within range. The weapon is strictly the EMP, though, so any creatures that are more-or-less purely biological, such as Pfhor Troopers, will be completely unharmed by the effect. However, anything wearing power armor -- such as our vacuum-enabled soldiers -- or anything cybernetic -- like yourself -- will take full effects from the shock, as well as anything purely mechanical, such as Juggernauts. Or the Renegades themselves. Just be careful; the weapon is not yet battle-ready, as we haven't had an opportunity to do any field testing.
So that's that. We'll be sending down the gun as soon as we have it primed and ready for combat, which should be shortly. You won't be missing out on any fights. They're telling me that the shot itself has a larger explosion radius than your SPNKR, but against a single target, it's less effective shot-for-shot. Whatever. I'm sure you won't miss the SPNKR, since we don't have any. Or maybe you will. Too bad. In the meantime, here's some more exciting news for you. Remember the attack on the Acheron in which you participated yesterday? Yeah. We're not having any success in holding the ship down. There appear to be more Pfhor lurking about than we anticipated, and our boys are being beleagured at every step.
It's a shame we can't really call you back to the ship for some more fighting, but we believe that your presence there is a one-shot-only type of thing, so you're staying. We'll send down more help as it becomes available, but high command wants more energy devoted into the Acheron than the renegades. Oh well. Time to go.

Well, this is convenient. This terminal is teleport-capable and is the interfacing unit with the mainframe to your left. Anyone can just come up to this computer here and have access to the mainframe's contents. At this point, we're being locked out by security protocols, so install the chip and then log on to this terminal again.
Excellent. With the card installed, we are already streaming information by the terabyte onto our own mainframes, and having it evaluated as it comes by some of the scientists. It's going to take a few minutes to organize the information, so let's get you briefed for the next part of your mission, and once you get there I can tell you what we've found. Okay. What we found -- or, rather, are finding -- in this Warehouse mainframe is only half of the information that Karuma promised us. The other is in a nearby building, so we're sending you there. It's a tower overlooking the warehouse district, but it's falling apart, much like the rest of this damn planet. We'll get you in there, and we'll give you another virus card. Look for another mainframe -- like this one -- and insert the card, then find another teleport-capable terminal.
