__________________________________________ This deck has suffered heavy damage under the alien intrusion. The starboard drive was hit during the initial attack and may not be salvageable. As bad as that sounds, I believe you can manually restart most of the subsystems, and the ship can escape on a single engine. __________________________________________

__________________________________________ Excerpt from "Basics of Ion Propulsion" "...once collected in the Bussard Ram Scoop, the hydrogen atoms are compressed into plasma and fed through magnetic injectors into the fusion drive..." __________________________________________ Pictured is the entrance to the hydrogen compression tunnel. Inside are the control switches for many of the offline subsystems. You need to activate all of these if we are to have any hope of escape. __________________________________________

__________________________________________ If you miss any of the switches, you can reset the compression tunnel here in the fusion chamber. __________________________________________ Once you arrive at the fusion chamber, insert the MCPU module to start the drive. __________________________________________ **** END MESSAGE ****

__________________________________________ The hydrogen compressor is now operative, but, as you have no doubt discovered, the aliens have disabled the fusion chamber and removed the MCPU chip. __________________________________________ You will need to go to the starboard engineering wing and pick up a spare MCPU module, return with it, and bring the fusion chamber online before the hydrogen pressure exceeds all safeguards. __________________________________________

________________________________________ After getting the MCPU and restarting the fusion drive, access this terminal for more information. ________________________________________ **** END MESSAGE ****

_____________________________________ Excellent job getting the port drive operational. Unfortunately, sensors report the starboard fusion drive has entered a feedback loop which will end in an explosion to rival a small nova. _____________________________________

_____________________________________ Excellent job getting the port drive operational. Unfortunately, sensors report the starboard fusion drive has entered a feedback loop which will end in an explosion to rival a small nova. _____________________________________ _____________________________________ To prevent this, you will need to disengage two sets of couplings, and blow the pylon bolts. _____________________________________

__________________________________________ You will find the coupling releases in rooms 527 and 528. __________________________________________ The pylon charges can be detonated from room 529. __________________________________________ You can expect much opposition along the way, but you will have to hurry and jettison the drive before the injectors melt and we lose the ship. __________________________________________

Hello Sir. Glad to see you're alive. I've been out of stasis for about two hours. In that time, some of the men and I have recaptured decks 7, 8, and 9. I just spoke with Lieutenant Mazzola. He and half a dozen guys are on deck 3, and he reports he has chased the aliens out of decks 1 through 3. We were talking, and if you approve, we'd like to work together, pushing the aliens back towards the shuttle bay. From there, we can trap them in the middle and hammer them from both sides...

Several of us took out one of the attacking ships from the port observation bay on deck six. O'Malley and another group are fighting the third ship right now from deck four. Many of the subsystems are coming back on line as we speak. Is that your doing? We're giving them a run for their money! We're almost to the shuttle bay, so I've gotta go, another group of aliens just launched a counter-offensive. If you can make your way there from engineering, meet us in the shuttle bay. Commander Hayes out.
