<12.22.01.01.774412~> <termcode: ____41.Ganoderma59.1121____> Good morning, doctor, no doubt you're wondering why you've awakened from your cryogenic sleep with sewage up to your knees. I have good news and bad news for you, and I recall you usually prefer hearing the bad, first: Approximately one earth-week ago, a Pfhor vessel warped into space-time near the Volvox research station and forced their way on board. Taken by surprise, the science staff was unable to offer much resistance, and most individuals were either killed soon after the initial boarding, or were tracked down later and taken as prisoners. These I assume have been taken back to the Pfhor vessel (still in the immediate vicinity of this station) since I have detected no human life signatures in the last several days. The motive for the attack eludes me and God only knows why they've flooded this section of the station. But the good news: Your cryogenics experiment seems to have worked quite well, and your extremely low metabolism this last week seems to be why the Pfhor never detected you. But now we have to get you off this station alone. So first things first - you must get this sewage drained so you can access the lower corridors between nodes. The control switches are located in the node above you, but with the Pfhor's tinkering around lately you might have to destroy the circuitry completely. (This might alert some of the Pfhor drones, so be careful. There's probably a pistol lying around here nearby.) When you've done that find a terminal in another node where I can give you more instructions. Good Luck. Volvox
<12.22.01.01.774412~> <termcode: ____41.Pandorina2344.1121____> Good work. Here's the best plan I can come up with. As you remember, before your experiment began the communications team had begun working on a long-range teleporter. This was nearly complete when the Pfhor ship attacked, and your best chance of escape is to finish that installation yourself. I've detected several human ships on their way to Volvox station, undoubtedly suspicious about the sudden lapse in communications, and the Pfhor will be focusing their attention on dealing with a human counteroffensive. If you can get the teleporter working without attracting too much attention I can transfer you to one of these ships.
To do this you will need to find the last of the three telecontrol circuits that will complete the installation. This circuit is still held in a containment field in a structure like this in the adjacent node. Unfortunately the Pfhor have sealed off this region, and to gain access you will need to activate several backup switches while on the central lift. They shouldn't be too hard to find.
The other two circuits have already been put into place outside the central axis. When you've retrieved the last one, make your way here and I'll teleport you outside where you will install it.
By the way, there's been a lot of activity lately in the area you're headed to. Don't spend too much time there or the enemy might be alerted. Volvox
<12.22.01.01.774412~> <termcode: ____41.Phragmites2344.1121____> You will alert the enemy if you stay in this area! Grab the circuit and GET OUT!! Volvox
<12.22.01.01.774412~> <termcode: ____41.Panicum2344.1121____> Uh, aren't you forgetting something, doctor? The long-range teleporter won't be functional until the last circuit is installed. You must retrieve the third telecontrol circuit. Volvox
<12.22.01.01.774412~> <termcode: ____41.Panicum2344.1121____> Excellent! I'll send you outside to put the circuit into place. As you know, the gravity fields generated by this station don't function outside so you'll need to use some propulsive device (that is, your pistol or shotgun) to get within range of the circuit panel. Your spacesuit's stabilizers should help manuevering as well. In the meantime I'll see about overriding the access codes for the door to your left. Remember your Newtonian physics, Volvox
<12.22.01.01.774412~> <termcode: ____41.Schizachyrium2344.1121____> You must drain the sewage and find another terminal. Quickly!
