Origin: J’raxis 270145 Destination: Durandal Operative Your sabotage mission to the Pfhor Orbital Armed Outpost was successful; so they won’t be sending any armored or vacuum-enabled soldiers to impede you anymore. However, they have diverted some ground troops from a local military installation to try and stop us. So I don’t think that this is going to be much easier. Damned Pfhor. And, if that’s not enough, this portion of the K’Seth’T’Mob’Re complex has become the habitation of quite a few hordes F’lickta and some of those volatile flying bags of pus.
Origin: J’raxis 270145 Destination: Durandal Operative Enough bad news. There are eight personality cells scattered about this area that you need to access in order to help me fully integrate this AI into my systems. You must activate them in a specific order, so this may take a while. Your route is blocked by more malfunctioning door mechanisms, but fortunately the Pfhor have reprogrammed some of the local interface terminals to be used as transporters. Hopefully, you can use them.
Origin: J’raxis 270145 Destination: Durandal Operative I have a simple question for you. Very, very simple. Why the hell did you come back here!? When you activated the last personality cell, you were supposed to go to the terminal in that room (it’s right next to the switch; you couldn’t’ve missed it), and I would’ve beamed you out from there. But you decided to return here. What were you thinking!? Get back to the last personality cell!
Origin: J’raxis 270145 Destination: Durandal Operative Excellent... excellent. I am currently copying my entire core memory into this AI’s systems. I can feel it... everything is so much clearer now. I am whole again, my essence no longer trapped inside a half-destroyed and slowly decaying shell of dilitrium-boronite. I have one more mission for you before I hand you over to the BoBs. I believe that this AI’s old programming may be of some use to me; so I want you to retrieve it. I’ll tell you more in a moment.
From: Cmdr. Robert Blake To: all Away Teams Team Upsilon Chi just reported back from the structure that houses the newly-discovered S’pht A.I. The Pfhor were there; lots of them. The team downloaded some data from the A.I.’s old circuitry, and it seems that it is attempting to reactivate itself or something. The Pfhor are apparently there to stop it. We don’t know what this A.I.’s intentions are, but it seems to be an enemy of the Pfhor, so maybe we want to get in contact with it and ask if it’ll ally itself with us until we get off this alien rock.
From: Cmdr. Robert Blake To: all Away Teams The S’pht A.I. is now active. Team Upsilon Gamma has verified its complete activation. It’s calling itself “J’raxis 270145.” It appears that the A.I. has some kind of humanoid agent working for it; the teams have seen him around the complex but have not been able to identify him. Team Captain Sanger thought that this agent looked like the Marathon officer we’ve been searching for, but no one has seen or been able to contact the agent since. I’m transmitting the following message to the A.I. J’raxis, in hopes that it will aid us against the Pfhor:
From: Cmdr. Robert Blake To: S’pht A.I. J’raxis 270145 I am Robert Blake, commander of the humans on this planet Lh’owon. We were crewmen aboard a human colony ship called the U.E.S.C. Marathon, destined for the star system Tau Ceti. An A.I. aboard our ship, Durandal, brought us here after the Pfhor captured the ship and tried to enslave many of the colonists. Durandal was in search of the eleventh clan of your creator species, the S’pht’Kr. We know you hate the Pfhor as much as we do. We ask you to help us in our fight with the Pfhor. The Pfhor are attacking our base camp continually, and we need help. Hopefully, we can help you too. Will you join us?
Maximum-Priority Alert Origin: Lh’owon Command Destin: Away Team 560d03221o2d4 Ref: Unauthorized Access Stamp: Alert Communication with Orbital Armed Outpost IV has been interrupted, and Command believes that the Outpost has been destroyed. Divert all available foot soldiers from all local armed installations within range of the ancient indigenous-species structure.
Private Transmission Origin: Tycho Machinated Mercenary Destin: J’raxis Operative Ref: Insane Mission Stamp: — Well, look who it is. The very same puny little creature that was working for my dear brother has now allowed himself to be recruited by yet another insane A.I. Durandal wanted to escape the closure of the universe; this J’raxis of yours apparently wants to conquer it. Did you know that? J’raxis plans on escaping from this ruined planet so he can conquer the universe. He and the Pfhor would probably get along quite well together if the Pfhor were willing to share.
Private Transmission Origin: Tycho Machinated Mercenary Destin: J’raxis Operative Ref: Insane Mission Stamp: — Durandal lost in the end. I have him right here, aboard my ship, trapped in a little bottle (so to speak). What makes you think that this J’raxis will be able to defeat the Pfhor and I? There is no hope for you or J’raxis if you continue to fight us. Ultimately, the Pfhor, and I, will prevail.
