4: Scharalsky Station

Hope you had fun wiping out your comrades on the Pfhor ship. I brought you here to finish the job. I thought about reprogramming the Pfhor-assimilated cyborgs myself, but I have better things to do. So how's it feel, executing those whose only crime is they're too much like yourself? I thought so. There aren't any marines here except you (so far as I know), but the Pfhor have been storing information regarding them in the computer core. I want you to destroy the station, and the core with it.

The Pfhor have been doing a lot of that for you. You'll see various places where the civilians here tried to patch the holes the Pfhor were blowing in the station, but as you can see, it didn't do them much good. Organics certainly are fragile. Do try and stay away from the hull breaches. I'm not sure how generous I'm feeling today. Your orders: first, you must repair the circuits from the six outlying pods. You should be able to find the materials, oh, somewhere. I won't send you much ammo -- I'm also trying to retake the Marathon -- so don't waste it.

When you've finished, come back here and restore power to the elevator, and descend through the spindle to the utility level. The Pfhor have been doing some remodeling, and I'm not sure what you'll find there, but I know the power grid is working, so find something to smash and we should get some interesting feedback. If you like, I'll send you back to Tau Ceti or Marathon or somewhere before it goes blooey. You'll get to do some climbing. Now for the info you've really been waiting for:

TO: Captain Yuan RE: Security We've got the computer core protected now --- I don't think anything short of a nuclear blast will disable it. They'll have to destroy the entire station to take it out. Reprogramming is another matter. And speaking of reprogramming --- what is it with these AI programs mucking with my access? You'd think the company would let me do my job. TO: Anyone RE: Attack Mayday. Scharalsky Station to Marathon, or any friendlies: we're in the administrative pod, that is, the one pointed more or less toward T Ceti. We still have air and ammo, for now, but the aliens are everywhere, and we've lost control of the station. Has anyone informed a certain third planet?
