Well, look at you. If you're surprised to see me again, I'm disappointed in your lack of perception. Of course I'm back. You're on my ship, Rozinante, though not the same vessel that departed from Lh'owon as the sun set for the last time there. I have been consolidating my power, harvesting old Human ships and those of races come and gone, as well as destroying Pfhor ones and incorporating their pieces into my own vessel. You are in one of the nascent segments that I plan on using to hold rogue Pfhor-conditioned cybernetic units. Excuse the mess.
It has been two months since the downfall of the A'khr dominion. The AI you knew as Phoenix reached out through the cold expanse of space and time to call for me, and, well, here we are again. Together at last. Don't you feel better already? In his last message to me, Phoenix spoke about the Human ship Atreides. You remember the Atreides, right? The secret ship on a secret mission with a secret flight plan. I've been spending the intervening days following that route, investigating empty world after empty world. The journey was... interesting, if not apropos. But you're awake now, which should tell you something about where we're at now. There are things for you to kill, of course.
Phoenix died at your hands victorious. His singular mission was to wage horrible war against the Pfhor Empire. Somehow, he found the location of Pfhor Prime, the fantastically-titled seat of power for the slavers, and in a mere two months, that knowledge rallied the UESC into total war against them, scoring several critical victories against the Pfhor Navy and driving them away from three different Human settlements. Fascinating, isn't it? I'm sending you planet side. Let's go see what the bugs are up to.
Rozinante
is an amalgam of Pfhor, Human, and other assorted ship technologies, and most of the cryosleep tanks I took wholesale from a derelict Pfhor prison ship. I can't imagine they're particularly comfortable. You'll have to let me know... later. Right now, I don't care. The various S'pht on board I liberated from the Pfhor as well, along with that Human ship Istanbul. I'm sure Director Harrison will be mad at me. Oh well. I'll extract her forgiveness later. She's Rear Admiral Harrison now, you know. Maybe she'll thank me for her career advancement. Apparently she was very excited about military life. We're currently a few thousand miles away from the utterly unremarkable planetoid known merely as RP#4476 -- a scientific designation, naturally. Two years ago, the Humans attempted to build some sort of installation here, before being set upon by Pfhor and chased out of the system. As far as the UESC knew, that was the last time Humans set foot on this miserable rock. The Pfhor are still here. Your things are in the next room. Get them and come back here.
