15: Shipwreck Drowned in a Storm

Welcome... I've been expecting you.

You are currently lost in the twisted depths of Mazaro's Labyrinth. You will be hard pressed to ever get back to the main line of Lost Lands again, at least if you don't load your old saved games. I am the mouth of Mazaro, and I'm here to lead you in all the wrong directions. I have very nice teeth. Would you like to see them closer?

There. That's better. I have a job for you. See... I, unfortunately, seem to have misplaced my child's face. It should be lurking around here somewhere. Good luck finding it. Don't bother coming back here when you're done, there are more important things you could be doing (not to mention that I won't be here).

Good riddance.

Lathered up with justice.

Ah... here it is. I must've left it here, in the weird room. There are weird rooms scattered across the Labyrinth of Mazaro. It's your job to find them all. That means that part of your quest is over. Your work is done in the Shipwreck. Go find a way out.

Your dreams are nothing to me.

<spit/life cynic eye>

When you dream, is your dream self exactly as you would be in the dream situation? What if dreams are really happening in alternate realities, and the events taking place are being seen by alternate versions of you. What if your dream self dreams about your life and thinks it strange beyond belief? What if the inexplicable terror you feel during nightmares is really just a side effect of the shock of leaving your physical body? What if divine beings show us these images to bring us into their service? What if the government adds chemicals to our food to make us dream to convince us they're right and some people don't dream because they don't eat certain food? What if people don't even realize dreams convince them of things? If you found out your God was a spider, would you still worship him?

The water is as fallow as our own falibility.
