remote.feed.open origin: orbital transmit destin: comm.downlink ref: briefing stamp: briefing As I'm sure you noticed, the local infantry isn't putting up much resistance. Your job is to go inside the buildings, and find any bugs in hiding. Preliminary photos seem to show a normal Pfhor garrison, but radar shows 2 sets of tunnels under the facility. One can be accounted for by the water system you just disabled, but the other is much deeper. We can't find any entrances to the lower tunnels, but the Pfhor have shielded off a good bit of the base. We'll be able to tell you more shortly. Most of the base was locked down when they spotted us, but there must be something they forgot. Get in as far as you can, and look for another satellite-ready terminal.

satellite.downlink origin: orbital transmit destin: satellite.downlink ref: infiltration stamp: briefing Something funny is going on here. Aside from the token forces you've already taken out, this base is practically deserted. We've found only 16% of a typical garrison. Of course, we still don't know what's inside the shielded section. One thing we do know is that there is an entrance to the deep tunnels after all. It's on the other side of the mountain, a railway that runs for half a mile underground, then bridges a ravine, goes back into the ground, and looks like it stops somewhere inside. There's no exit on the other cliff.
satellite.downlink origin: orbital transmit destin: satellite.downlink ref: infiltration stamp: briefing And another 7 miles beyond that there's an isolated building that no one can figure out. Externally we ID it as a Pfhor storage unit, but it doesn't act like one. No ships have arrived or left. We haven't detected TME backlash or any working teleporters at all. It has no supply conduits. No transmissions on any band, although it does have quite a rig, one that could go interplanetary if they powered it up. And there are no life forms inside. As soon as you finish up here we'll try to bring back your dropship and send you in. That is all. Continue with your mission.

Look around... This room was a lot of fun to build. ;) This scenario took way too long to finish, if I wasn't so lazy it would have been out long ago. Such are the perils of going to college and Forging simultaneously. At least I'll learn something useful from my time here ;) Also used to create this were Hex, Sound Editor, ClarisWorks, PoV-Ray, Strata Mediapaint, the Map Viewer, and a ton of little programs whose name I forgot. No animals were hurt (that much) in the making of this scenario. Um... Shave the whales! Beware of low-flying deer! All hail the Walnut! Brak for President! Move out! Lock and load! Happy birthday! And stay frosty! There's more to say, but we'll let it wait until the second secret terminal; it's easier to find but harder to read. Good hunting!
