25: Precipice of Madness

We have been slightly inconvenienced. My plan was to have all of the A'khr troops engage the Pfhor along the perimeter of the citadel; that way, once you moved into the central regions, you'd be generally unopposed in trying to reach me. Apparently the old military commander Kalgan was able to convince the rest of the council that I was trying to betray them. It's impressive; I didn't actually know any of those fools had the capacity to know I was dissembling.

Kalgan has had my military command revoked. He's going to keep a mass of troops within the citadel streets itself for defense. Typical A'khr mentality; they won't yield an inch willingly. Of course, with fewer people to defend the breach, the Pfhor will be able to hammer them into submission more quickly. Our job will now be a little more... troublesome. You will be following behind the first wave of the Pfhor. They have been following a passage for supply and delivery and have engaged the A'khr in a perimeter station.
