Ah, good, you made it here in one piece. Huh? What do you mean by that? Well, there was a bit of an error with the teleporter system. ... Er... you don't really want to know. No, I think I do. What sort of error? How do you mess that up? You really don't want to know this. Yes, I do. ANYWAY! Moving on to your objective! Since you so handily transferred so much slag into the proper reservoir, we can commence annihilating the rest of their army.
There are now two reservoirs that can both drain into this part of the eleventh ship compartment, if the proper physical safeguard is broken. They will flood nearly the entire sector; I predict 99% casualties of all troops transferred over here to stop you. That sounds fantastic. What do I have to do? Well, it's precisely what I mentioned. You'll have to find another one of those sensitive computer panels, and break it. That will cause a substantial mount of slag to fill this deck of the ship. I see. However, you must be careful. Since we're not doing it in the "official" method (that is, by manipulating the reservoir controls), there won't be any protection; you will probably have to manipulate some lifts to be ready for you, as you will likely need to outrun the flow of the liquid. Hmm... that sounds a lot less fantastic than I originally thought. Is there a more fantastic way to do this?
Not especially. However, just keep in mind that we're almost done. Once we crush their offensive, we'll be able to stage a counterattack right where it hurts. That is fairly fantastic after all. Alright... I'll remember that. Please do. And be careful with that computer panel, if you find it; I will have specific instructions for you when you run into it, so look for another terminal like this one when you do.
So, this is the computer panel that I wasn't supposed to break on sight, right? You should commend me for my incredible restraint. Yes, yes, good job not instinctively destroying things. You deserve much appreciation for your incredible forethought. Alright, so, what's so difficult about this? I break the wire, and then run for high ground. This all seems relatively straightforward to me. I'm sure it does; however, I would exercise caution. The nearest escape route from down here would bring you up into sufficiently high ground; however, it would not be a tenable location for accessing the exit point that I have arranged for you. Instead, if at all possible, I would locate an elevated position from which you could break the panel at range. What, through a window? Or something like that? Whatever you like. Really, I suppose the option is up to you. Either way, after you've broken the machine, you may proceed to the exit.
You're an incredible idiot. What? Why? What did I do? You know what you were supposed to do in this region of the ship? Flooding the lower decks with slag... melting the alien attackers... escaping from a flow of lethal molten goo... ring any bells? Well, yeah... Well, this is the extraction point, but you haven't done that yet. And I don't see how you couldn't have -- you were practically right next to the panel you were supposed to smash. Isn't smashing what you do? ...yeah... THEN DO IT. And come back here when you're done.
Your skills at running away are remarkable. Hey... come on, now, that wasn't called for. No, I suppose it wasn't. Alright, well, I believe we are prepared for the final stage of our plan. The computer mainframe is beginning to weaken after my continued efforts, and so I believe we can coordinate the timing of the completion of our respective tasks. So the aliens have been destroyed? Well, no. This plan was not quite as successful as I had hoped. I mean, yes, we did melt a significant number of their troops, but I fear we may still have to deal with a substantial resistance. Well, I think it's too late for subterfuge now. We've spent far too long dawdling around in other decks of this ship when we could -- and should -- be breaking into the power nexus of the ship. You know, that's a remarkably good bit of sense, coming from you. Alright, have it your way. I'll teleport us to the seventh compartment now, and we can handle things from there.
Wow, good job. I don't think I expected anyone to find their way to this terminal without breaking the computer panel first, so I suppose I should congratulate you on your success at breaking sequence in what I think is one of this scenario's finest maps. However, you still have to finish the mission. Sorry! I can teleport you there now, if you'd like. If you want to keep wandering around, be my guest, but I don't think you'll find too much. Prepare for teleport. To cancel, hit ESC.
Haha, you fool. What? Why? What did I do now? I told you this wasn't the most tenable method of escape, didn't I? And yet here you are. Yeah, so? Well, besides having to deal with more resistance than you would have had to had you followed directions, you will also have to wade through slag in order to finish your job. I will? That sucks. You're right. Jump into the pit opposite this terminal and proceed to the exit.
