Greetings Soldier... I hate that we have to come together on these terms. We knew all about it and those bastards in Washington did nothing to stop it. Once again, it looks like it's our job to clean up the mess. As you know, we've recently launched an all-out attack against Afghanistan's Taliban regime, the acting government responsible for harboring Osama bin Laden and many members of his terrorist network. Though we know him to be hiding in the general vicinity, bin Laden's exact whereabouts is still unverified.
I know once I told you we needed bin Laden to be taken alive for questioning, but all that changed on September 11. I've got personal stakes in this war, Soldier. As you may have heard, my own son was lost in the attack on The Pentagon. I'm speaking strictly off the record here, but I think the new administration is behind me when I say, in the event you locate bin Laden, flat-out grease that son of a bitch like Texas roadkill.
Now, I know you're angry and so are we. If I were you, I'd kill every Arab in sight... but as your direct superior, I'm asking you to be stronger than me. Don't let that anger get in the way of the job, Soldier. Spare all nonaggressive civilians. Don't lower yourself to the level of the enemy by killing innocents. I'm sure you know full well, that's just not how America does business. Your primary mission is to lead your unit into Kabul and take the city by storm, eliminating all Taliban forces that try to get in your way. But there's something else...
An American missionary by the name of Heather Mercer is believed to be held captive somewhere in the city. At this point, there's no telling she's alive or dead, but should you locate her, you are ordered to rescue her and ensure she escapes safely. After which, you will convene with additional ground forces in an open field just outside Kabul where a helicopter will be awaiting your arrival. Once again, good luck, Soldier... and may GOD BLESS AMERICA.
