The S'pht'Kr are warning me that we need to take these Renegades very seriously. Further exploration (as well as proper response to this threat) unfortunately falls under the directive of the Outer Reaches Expeditionary Legion, so I'm going to have you press on. Until we have a better understanding of this new enemy, I want to keep the rest of the security team out of this. The Renegades seem to be mining something deep underground around this region. Our attempts at hacking into their communications network have pretty much entirely failed; whatever their new AI technology is, it is very adept at fighting against our scans and probes. Of course, I was unable to get a teleport for you that leads directly into the mine in question, so I'm going to have you take a different route. There's a back way in from here. This building is a sewage intake facility; they drag in polluted water, filter it, and flush it back into the rivers. There's a large trash chute somewhere around here that leads to an incineration pit underground -- in a facility adjacent to the mine in question.
Of course, you do not have direct access to this incinerator pit. There are two things blocking your way. One: This facility, as well as the mine underneath it, use an old-fashioned security card system to check for clearance. There are two different cards: one for the sewage plant, where you are now, and one for the incinerator plant underground. You should be able to find a key for the sewage plant doors around here somewhere, at least, but it looks like the actual incinerator pit access card is much more highly guarded. Two: It appears that this building was originally constructed before all these bipedal troops were indoctrinated into the Renegade army, and as such there are some areas where the ability to fly has been assumed by the architect. As you haven't shown any predilection for flight, I'm going to assume you can't fly, so you'll have to find another way to get up to some high ledges.
You can take advantage of some curious architectural decisions by stoppering up some of the sewage intakes. Parts of the facility are designed to retain overflowing sewage in the event of an emergency, and you should be able to use that to your advantage. Once you have the sewage plant key, you should be able to make your way to the incinerator chute. It's near the center of the plant. Keep your eyes open.
Health notice: It is considered dangerous to your health to try to read white-on-black text in terminals in dark corridors like this. Therefore, the real text of this terminal has been omitted until maintenance can install some lights in here. This notice wonders why the builders never put one in in the first place, but no matter. Changing the presentation style of this terminal is, unfortunately, not an option.
We apologize for the inconvenience: This corridor is to be sealed off in the event of an unexpected bilge overflow. This room has been designated as a "overflow reservoir" in the event of an emergency, but the corridor beyond this door is not fitted for extended exposure to dirty fluids. This corridor is currently undergoing maintenance to properly seal itself off from the corridor connected to it, which is rated for dirty fluid exposure. In the meantime, this door will seal in the event of a potential breach.
[S'pht translator active] Message from Karma commences: Top-level clearance is required for immediate transport to research sector "Deep Thirteen." Although physical access to this terminal implies permission has been granted in the form of access card 41A, any visitors will be met with high scrutiny upon approaching Deep Thirteen. Automatic teleporter prepared.
I can't express how irritating it is to put up with constant intrusions and attacks by these alien species. I am not interested in you. The insects are my primary -- my only -- concern. You are not welcome in this game. You have already gone too far. You don't even know where you are, or what you're doing. I am not unfamiliar with human strategy. And I'm not unfamiliar with you either. So perhaps my warning to you falls on deaf ears, but if you have more sense than I credit the rest of your kind, you would turn and flee. We have nothing for you to steal.
The following is an important notice for any employees of Water Purification Plant 6 in regards to the Waste Incineration Complex. [posted 11 days 5 hours ago] ------------------------------------------ A'khr High Command has issued a top-level generalized order to increase security precautions in all processing plants, factories, production areas, and so forth. As the Refinery falls squarely into that designation, the Refinery and Incineration Complex door security system has been re-established and will require separate clearance from normal sewage plant clearance. As there is absolutely no way into the complex except through the main door here, this will ensure that no undesirables are able to enter the mine and refinery.
Well, you found the incinerator pit. The incinerator works as follows: any trash that gets dumped into this chute here gets teleported to the incinerator underground. Don't take it personally that you get lumped in with the trash. Anyway, it should end with a plunge into a pit of naturally-occuring lava. Which is why I'm giving you an Invincibility Biobus Enhancement Chip. Don't expect me to give you any more of them; they're exceptionally expensive little pieces of machinery, actually. Also, it's the only one I've got. Jump into the chute. It won't hurt.
