The Pfhor mine appears to be something of a fortress. They carefully guard their machinery, and we will be harangued constantly. This is to our benefit, as I believe we want this mine entirely purged of the infestation. So we must kill everything. No. Well... yes. But I believe it's more than that. If we are to harvest the crystals, we must do a better job than the Pfhor have. This mine appears to be mass-produced, and poorly done. They do not collect the crystals efficiently, and much energy is lost in the process. If we are to keep the mine for ourselves, then we will have to re-program the mine using my penchant for proper programming. The Pfhor will try to kill us at every opportunity, and we must be alert. But tell me, is this re-programming act more of an act of "fixing" or "breaking"? Fixing.

Intruding into their network has yielded a system of five uplink points. At each of these points, the systems can be re-worked in our favor, but we must locate all five of them before we have the most control possible. So, in simple terms, five chips go into five slots? Easy enough even for you, no? Are you calling me incompetent? We must move. They have probably learned of our presence already by now, and we cannot waste any time.

Our job is not yet complete. No? No. But this is where we should exit, when it is finished. In the meantime, you must locate those chips and put them into their slots before we can leave again. This had better be worth the effort. I can assure you it will be.

Something isn't right. I can tell you that now; I think you miscalculated. It seems our attempt at reprogramming the system didn't work as well as I had hoped. The uplink cards are overloading the power system, and the facility will shortly lose all power. We need to reboot the system. Is that in here? I mean, we're here already, it can't be too far. No, it's not in here. They use a remote power-plant, which I can only presume is powered off of the crystals they harvest. But I don't know, and it piques my interest. We must go there, and see what they do with the crystals. Don't get too enamored with the prospect. We went through all the effort to configure the system here, so figure out how to make it work. Fine, fine. We move.

Translator active-- LOG ENTRY #00306271138 USER POSTING #76199852 PERMISSION Beta-1064M. Mining systems are running at 44% efficiency. I cannot locate the problem as to why we are losing so much power during our operations, but I have already administered punishment to 14 members of the engineering staff for failing to properly configure our materials. The crystals that we do harvest provide barely enough power to support the mine on its own. This operation is not doing well, and we may have to abandon the entire moon if the other installations are doing as poorly as we are. I await the instructions of the third admiral before any changes are made in the systems.
